6529 Complaints HQ
A virtual bureaucratic labyrinth where complaints vanish into madness. Inspired by Asterix’s “The Place That Sends You Mad.”
Castle Degenaissance is a visionary 3D Digital Twin of the historic Pyne Castle in Laguna Beach, California, reimagining the iconic landmark as an immersive digital experience. Commissioned by the castle’s owner, this project transforms the storied estate—originally built in 1927 by Walter E. Pyne in the Normandy Revival style, designed by renowned architect Paul Revere Williams (learn more about Pyne Castle’s history)—into a virtual masterpiece, blending timeless design with cutting-edge technology.
From the grand halls adorned with the owner’s personal art collection to the hidden rocket launch station beneath the castle, every detail has been crafted to captivate and inspire. The space even features a custom 3D avatar of the owner, affectionately known as the ‘King of the Castle,’ complete with his favorite attire and accessories. Reflecting its ties to the web3 community through its name, Castle Degenaissance sets the stage for future innovations in virtual-real world interactions. Discover how Art Unchained brought this ambitious vision to life, merging history, art, and technology in a way that transcends the ordinary.

Creating an extraordinary virtual space isn’t just about assembling 3D assets. At Art Unchained, we weave compelling narratives into every pixel, building immersive worlds that resonate with your audience and embody your unique story.
The journey began with a bold vision: to create a 3D Digital Twin that not only replicates Pyne Castle but elevates it into a modern marvel. Working closely with the castle’s owner, we delved into the rich history of the landmark while exploring ways to infuse it with contemporary flair. The concept of a hidden rocket launch station emerged as a symbol of innovation, while the inclusion of a custom avatar added a personal touch. Through collaborative brainstorming and strategic planning, we laid the foundation for a virtual space that honors the past while embracing the future.
With the vision set, our team embarked on the intricate process of bringing Castle Degenaissance to life. Using original construction plans and extensive photo references, we meticulously recreated every archway, staircase, and stone wall. The addition of modern elements, like the sleek rocket launch station, required a delicate balance to ensure they complemented the castle’s historic charm. Custom lighting and textures were applied to create an atmosphere that feels both grand and intimate, inviting visitors to explore every corner of this digital masterpiece.
In the final phase, we focused on refining every detail to ensure a seamless and immersive experience. Given the massive scale of the villa, extensive optimization was required to achieve smooth performance across a range of devices, from desktops to VR headsets. We fine-tuned rendering processes, adjusted textures, and streamlined the overall design to handle the large virtual space efficiently. The result is a polished 3D Digital Twin that not only captures the essence of Pyne Castle but also pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in virtual storytelling.
Whether it’s for art, education, or your brand — we craft immersive 3D virtual spaces tailored to your goals. Let’s connect and explore what’s possible.
